Great Marketing Ideas
As a new real estate agent, I was amazed to find how far a simple "personal touch" can take you in this business. Granted, I do have a BBA in Marketing, but oddly, it seems to be all in the little things. These special touches are the very things that can close a sale. I have the priviledge of working on site in an 86 unit luxury condominium development called Maybank Village in Hinesville, Georgia. I suppose I started my business with a great deal of extra time on my hands, allowing me to be a little more creative. Maybank Village has gorgeous landscaping; and, being near the coast, our grounds include beautiful palm trees. I decided to string our palms with white lights for the holiday season. You have no idea how much a little thing like Christmas lights sets off the beauty of a palm, not to mention a new home development. This was clearly a huge effect with very little cost. Another simple idea was to keep warm, fresh baked cookies on site. When clients come by our model unit to look around our property, you would be amazed how tensions cease and conversations flow over a chocolate chip cookie. Again, a simple gesture with very little cost and a huge impact. The moral of the story, when it comes to setting yourself apart from the competition, no idea is too small and a personal touch is always a crowd pleaser.
